So Recently I was talking about tattoo discrimination on my blog http://www.ladswishlist.com/its-2014-and-tattoos-are-becoming-more-and-more-popular-so-why-are-they-still-being-discriminated-in-workplaces/

How job opportunities are being lost and workplaces are still discriminating tattoos, even though they are becoming so popular in todays generation. I wanted to carry this on and get some peoples opinions from all different backgrounds and walks of life to see who agrees with me and who disagrees…

How long have you been tattooing?
I have not long started around 6 weeks ago, I’m still learning at the moment.

How did you get into it?
I was very lucky a really good friend of mine is a professional tattooist and asked me if I wanted to open a shop with him, and we just started from there really.

Do you enjoy it?
I absolutley love it, I was a bit nervous at first but once I got my head around it I was fine.

How many tattoos do you have?
I have quite a few now over 10 plus a lot more to come.

Whats your favourite?
My favourite is my sleeve I think, it represents me plus its one of a kind which makes it unique to me.

How do you feel about people discriminating tattoos within the workplace?
It’s the 21st Century for god sake, it’s more popular than ever. I think it’s terrible, personally… You could have the worlds top surgeon or Doctor and yet there would be people still discriminating against that person due to his appearance (tattoos).

Have you or anyone you know ever been discriminated due to their tattoos?
My friend who I have just opened the business with got turned down for a anesthetist job because of his tattoos which is a shame as he would of been perfect for the role regardless of his appearance.

Do you think people/workplaces will ever accept tattoo’s now there so popular in our generation?
Like I said its the 21st century people will have to deal with it haha.
